The following press release is from DP Brakes and Clutches North America:

In 2025, DP Brakes Introduces New Titanium Rear Brake Caliper Pistons for Motocross and Off-road Bikes To Eliminate Brake Fade.

BUFFALO, NY. - DP Brakes, world leader in sintered braking technology, is announcing the release of our New Titanium Rear Brake Caliper Pistons for Motocross and Off-road bikes.

Larry Mills, president of DP Brakes and Clutches North America, said, “We are very proud and excited to be introducing our brand new line of Titanium Rear Brake Caliper Pistons for MX and Off-road bikes. After extensive testing with top MX and off-road teams and riders around the world, including Randy Hawkins AmPro Yamaha off-road Team, we will be able to offer the competitive MX and off-road rider an advantage over other riders who experience consistent brake fade and drag.”

He continues, “In motocross and off-road, most riders will use their rear brake more than the front. With harsh conditions on the track and heavy braking, this means the brake can overheat very quickly and lead to brake fade. With these new Titanium Caliper Pistons, they are engineered for ultimate precision and responsiveness, giving the rider maximum control on the motocross track, the trails or tight woods.”

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

  • Eliminates brake fade
  • Eliminates brake drag
  • Reduced temperatures
  • Reduced pad wear (up to 75%)
  • Increased confidence
  • Reduced lap times
  • Castellated and drilled for maximum ventilation
  • Chamfered to reduce the contact patch with the heat source (pad)
  • Diamond burnished and nitron mc coated for a super smooth low friction surface
  • Internal radial cooling fins to increase the surface area and to maximize heat transfer away from the piston to keep that brake fluid cool
  • Radiused rear cavity to increase the surface area and provide more fluid behind the piston
