  • Consistency Key for U.S. Halfway Through Six-Days Enduro (ISDE)

KTM has supplied the following update from the International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE) in Spain.

GALICIA, Spain – The United States team has opened its account in the 2024 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) with consistent podium form following the first three days of competition in Galicia, Spain, where the defending champion Women World Trophy Team (WWT) currently holds the lead. In addition, the U.S. World Trophy Team and Junior World Trophy Team both sit in third position at the halfway point of this year's 6DAYS.

WORLD TROPHY TEAM (WT)

FMF KTM Factory Racing regulars Dante Oliveira and Johnny Girroir – onboard KTM 350 XC-F machinery – are representing Team USA in the defending champion World Trophy Team (WT), collectively currently positioned third in the team's classification alongside Cody Barnes (Honda) and Josh Toth (GASGAS). Oliveira individually sits 11th in the WT category and third in the E2 class, while Girroir is 17th in WT and eighth in E2 with three days remaining.

Dante Oliveira: "We're at halfway and we were a little better today, but nowhere near where I want to be. I'm getting more comfortable and it was good to be on some fresh trails and special tests today – the dirt was good and the flow was nice. It was good to finish off with a test win today, so we are figuring it out and can hopefully be more consistent – at least in the top five in every test – and I'm up for the challenge!"

Johnny Girroir: "Day 3, the first loop wasn't so great for me, but I came back to the paddock, was able to reset and the last three tests were good. Hopefully we'll carry that momentum into Day 4!"

JUNIOR WORLD TROPHY TEAM (JWT)

In a continuation of his form at home, FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers' Grant Davis has been ultra-competitive through the opening three days of the ISDE, where the U.S. Junior World Trophy Team (JWT) is also placed third overall at halfway. Davis is third in the JWT classification, only 1:07.93 outside of the lead, and is an impressive fourth in the E1 class riding his KTM 250 XC-F. FMF KTM Factory Racing's Mateo Oliveira has also been solid, positioned 12th in JWT and 15th in E2 on the KTM 350 XC-F. Alongside Jason Tino (Husqvarna) on the JWT Team, the trio is ranked third overall.

Grant Davis: "Today was a good day! Not as good as yesterday, but I clicked off some good consistent times, except for Test 2 when I hit the ground pretty hard. Other than that, we'll keep this rolling, go into tomorrow with the same mentality to try and click off another top 10 overall, and keep pushing."

Mateo Oliveira: "Day 3, I came in with a lot of hope, but I think I tried a little bit hard and found the ground a lot today. We're going to make these next two days of enduro count, keep pushing hard, and then charge into the Final Moto!"

WOMEN'S WORLD TROPHY TEAM (WWT)

The brilliant Brandy Richards has been exceptional once again at the FIM 6DAYS so far, leading the charge in the Women World Trophy (WWT) classification onboard her KTM 250 XC-F with a 1:30.14 advantage. Aiming to defend the U.S. team's title claimed one year ago, this year alongside Rachel Gutish (Sherco) and Ava Silvestri (GASGAS), FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers rider Richards and her United States teammates sit 3:34.07 ahead of their closest competitors at the halfway mark of the prestigious international event.

Brandy Richards: "It was kind of a wet one today, but we had all-new transfers and tests, so that was a relief and I had a good time. Everything is shaping up nicely – it was a great day!"
