Josh Mosiman Update After Press Day Crash at RedBud National
Retired full-time racer turned Motocross Action Magazine editor Josh Mosiman has been racing a few rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship testing different brands and models in the process. Aboard a KTM for the RedBud National, Mosiman was invited out for Friday’s press day activities, and he was one of a handful of riders to triple LaRocco’s Leap. Unfortunately, the #171 went down hard after casing the landing badly, ending his weekend early. Mosiman took to Instagram for a full update, which you can check out below, saying he suffered a broken collarbone and a hard hit to the head. While juggling a lot of MXA work on top of racing several Pro Motocross rounds—and pro Canadian Nationals up north too—Mosiman remains one of the most genuine guys in the pits. Heal up, Josh!
“Bummed to miss RedBud today! I felt like I needed to hit Larocco’s Leap yesterday to get it out of my head and build some confidence for racing today, but came up just a bit short on it. Hit my head pretty good and broke my collarbone (video to come on YouTube this week).
Thanks to @mxtechsuspension (Jeremy and Jerry) for hosting the MXA crew this week in Illinois. I felt really good on our newest suspension setting at Leisure Town MX on Wednesday and I was excited to race with it this weekend.
Thanks to @nick_bollinger18 for all the help on the bike this week too, I’m bummed we didn’t make it to the race.
