  • Bailey Kroone Update After 250 Class Moto Two Crash That Collected Haiden Deegan
Buchanan, MI RedBudAMA Pro Motocross Championship

Ham Lake, Minnesota's Bailey Kroone (#249) was the unfortunate rider that crashed on the 11th lap as he was being lapped by the frontrunners in the second moto of Saturday's RedBud National 250 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Kroone told us he hit a false neutral on the face of RedBud's infield tabletop and was thrown into an endo, which he tried to step through. He was able to get off the track, but his bike was then hit by series points leader Haiden Deegan, who crashed upon impact. Fortunately, Deegan was able to get right back up and into the race.

Kroone was not so lucky. The 24-year-old suffered a broken leg in the initial crash when he landed and will likely be out for six-to-eight weeks. He had planned on racing at his home track, Spring Creek Motocross Park, in this weekend's Pro Motocross race, as well as the Pro Sport classes for the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch at Loretta Lynn's.

"I had a boot camp all planned out for ClubMX but that's all off for now because I might need surgery this week," explained Kroone. He hopes to be back for the Ironman National in late August.

Kroone wanted to give special thanks to his family as well as his girlfriend Callie, as well as his sponsors Immortal Insulation, JetBoy Co, FeineTune, BCMX, Larsons Cycle, Black Diamond MX, Rutted Racing, Hammer Nutrition, Dirtbikekidz, 6D Helmets, EKS Brand, Fastway, GUTS, and Motorex.
