Yamaha's Damon Bradshaw wins a thrilling main event at the Los Angeles Coliseum, holding back Honda's Jean-Michel Bayle, who had charged through the pack after a dead-last start. They swapped the lead back and forth on the last lap, with the "Beast from the East" stuffing JMB in one of the two Coliseum turns. Fast forward to the 42-minute mark to see the endgame--and make sure you watch until the checkered flag! As Larry Maiers said to Dave Despain, "I don't think I've ever seen a wilder finish!"
The winner of the championship, however, was Honda's Jeff Stanton, for the second year in a row.
In the 125 Class future National Arenacross legend Buddy Antunez took his factory Suzuki RM125 to the overall win ahead of Team Green Kawasaki teammates Jeff Emig and Jeremy McGrath.
