GEICO Honda’s Cameron McAdoo will miss the next “few rounds” of Monster Energy AMA Supercross after further damaging his hand last weekend at round nine in Atlanta, he announced on Instagram.
The second-year pro reinjured his broken hand (metacarpal bone) after a huge get-off on the same triple that Weston Peick and Dylan Ferrandis crashed on. McAdoo originally sustained the injury at the opening round of the 250SX East Region in Arlington.
“Atlanta was just all around a rough day for me, starting off with a pulled groin at the very beginning of the day and ending the night with a crash in the third main,” McAdoo said in a statement after Atlanta. “I was cross-jumped over the triple and it was a scary crash. Now I’ve broken my metacarpal bone worse than it already was. I will be seeing a doctor this week for further evaluation as to when I will be back racing, hopefully sooner rather than later.”
Through three rounds of the East Region, McAdoo was 12th in points.
