  • New Four-Man H.E.P. Racing Suzuki Squad for 2018

Several hard-working privateers just got a boost for the 2018 season through the formation of a new team with backing from Suzuki, H.E.P. Motorsports. Kyle Cunningham, Henry Miller, Dustin Pipes, and Tallon Lafountaine will race for the team in Monster Energy Supercross. Cunningham, Pipes, and Miller will race RM-Z450s in the 450SX class; Lafountaine will contest  the 250SX Lites West Region aboard a Suzuki RM-Z250.

Pipes is a longtime Suzuki-mounted privateer. He's the co-owner of this team, the team manager, and will also continue racing.

“Although we are a new team, we are in no way new to the sport of supercross.” stated Pipes in a team PR. “Billy Ezernack is our primary team owner, supporter, and successful farmer in the California central valley who partnered with former motocross champion George Holland and myself to form the core of a well-organized team."

Cunningham, a ten-year pro, spent most of 2017 racing for Autotrader.com/JGR Suzuki in the 250 class. He has 450 experience, including a sparkling fourth-place finish in the 2010 Las Vegas Supercross.

Miller was the feel-good privateer story of the summer, battling for top-ten finishes on a 450 in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross. He has yet to race a 450 in supercross. His best finish in 250SX was 11th in Indianapolis last year.

The full team press release is below:

Madera Ca: H.E.P. Motorsports (H.E.P.) is pleased to announce a new, four rider team to contest the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. H.E.P.’s talent-rich team is comprised of Kyle Cunningham, Henry Miller, Dustin Pipes, and Tallon Lafountaine. H.E.P. is also happy to announce a partnership with Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (SMAI) which will see the team use Suzuki’s RM-Z motocross models.

Suzuki MX Manager Chris Wheeler is eager to be working with the newly formed H.E.P. Motorsports team during the 2018 season. “The H.E.P. group has been on the gas this offseason putting the new RM-Z450 through its paces preparing for Anaheim One.” Wheeler continued, “It’s great to see a new team in the paddock and we are thrilled to have them as part of the RM Army”

Thanks to Suzuki’s support, the team will have three riders competing in the premier 450 class aboard the all-new 2018 RM-Z450; Dustin Pipes, Henry Miller, and Kyle Cunningham. Tallon Lafountaine will contest in the Lites West Region aboard the race proven Suzuki RM-Z250.

“Although we are a new team, we are in no way new to the sport of supercross,” stated team co-owner Dustin Pipes. “Billy Ezernack is our primary team owner, supporter, and successful farmer in the California central valley who partnered with former motocross champion George Holland and myself to form the core of a well-organized team”, continued Pipes, who is a current supercross rider that brings years of Pro-level experience to the team.In addition to Suzuki, H.E.P. Motorsports is very pleased to announce partnerships with FXR Racing, Race Tech, Holland Nut Co., Bill’s Pipes, and Snuffy Racing Development.

The team’s 2018 product sponsors include; Payton Trucking & Repair, Sidi Boots, MotoTV, Carl Nelson Insurance, Acerbis, R&S Solar, Mika Metals, Dunlop, X-Brand Goggles, Engine Ice, Elite Image, Ambroshi Farms, Cal Valley Printing, One Eighty Decals, Midland Tractor, Z-Boys Auto Detail, Motostuff, DT1 Airfilters, Guts Factory Seats, 6D Helmets, Works Connection, Enterprise Rental Car, Rekluse, and JE Pistons.
