Monster Energy Kawasaki announced today that Josh Grant would miss round six of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross this weekend at RedBud after injuring his left forearm in a practice crash at Muddy Creek last Saturday.
According to the team, Grant attempted to ride this week before determining the injury needed more time to heal. He will be re-evaluated next week at which time the team will determine if he can race Southwick.
Grant began the season with three consecutive moto podiums and also scored a podium in the first moto at High Point. He is currently 10th in points through five rounds of the championship.

Shortly after Monster Energy Kawasaki announced that Josh Grant would miss round six of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross at RedBud due to a forearm injury sustained in practice at Muddy Creek, Grant posted on Instagram that he would be racing this weekend.
“C'mon do you really think I was gonna miss Red Bud one off the best tracks of the year,” he wrote.
Obviously his statement contradicts the official statement from the team. We’ve reached out to the team for comment but have yet to hear back. We’ll update Grant’s status when we hear more.
