Robert Warren Leimbach 1963-2016
It is with great sadness that the staff of Barney’s Motorcycle and Marine of St. Petersburg, Florida announces the passing of its longtime parts department manager and friend, Robert “Rob” Leimbach.
For over 26 years, Rob built a successful career at Barney’s, growing the parts and accessories departments exponentially throughout his tenure. His motocross background lent itself to his broad knowledge of vehicles, and the parts and accessories that went with them. With excellent customer service always being his number one priority, many people who came in as customers, left as friends and continued to visit Rob over the years. He was also well-respected by the many factory representatives and co-workers with whom he interacted daily.
Rob’s quick wit and intellect never failed to bring smiles and laughs to the people around him. He leaves some big shoes to fill, and will be missed dearly. In honor of his memory, a cookout lunch will be held at Barney’s of St. Pete from 11am-2pm on Saturday, May 28th, with donations going to help Rob’s family cope with medical expenses. Memorial bracelets will also be for sale.
All are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Rob at 7:00pm on Friday, May 27th at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 8401 W. Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
