  • Coggin Chevrolet Joins RCSX

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The Seventh Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross (RCSX) is set to take place this Sunday, March 6 and Monday, March 7 at the renowned Daytona International Speedway (DIS) in Daytona Beach, Florida. MX Sports and 15-time National Champion Ricky Carmichael are pleased to partner with Coggin Chevrolet for this unique two-day amateur event.

"We are excited to branch out to a new industry and join RCSX," said Coggin Chevrolet General Manager Joe McGuire. "The partnership with RCSX will allow us to reach a new market of customers, and Chevrolet trucks make the perfect vehicle for motocross racers to take to the track."

Based out of Jacksonville, Florida, Coggin Chevrolet is the premier Chevrolet dealership in the area with over 1,000 vehicles ready for purchase. This year will serve as the first time Coggin Chevrolet will partner with RCSX.

With amateur motocross racers coming from all over the United States to race at DIS, Coggin Chevrolet will be able to reach a broad range of new customers. Specializing in vehicles equipped to pull campers to tailgates perfect for hauling dirt bikes, it only makes sense for Coggin Chevrolet to partner with RCSX.

The race structure includes 36 classes for youth riders on 50cc bikes all the way up to vet and senior classes. The race will follow a supercross format, using heat races and last chance qualifiers in each class to seed the field of riders over the course of two days into a main event on Monday.

This event also serves as the opening round of the 10-round Womens Motocross Championship (WMX), featuring the fastest females on two wheels. Racers must be pre-approved for a 2016 WMX license before registering. For more information on the WMX schedule, licensing and rules, please click HERE.
