  • This year marks the 26th running of the Budds Creek National.
  • The Budds Creek facility in Southern Maryland is one of the most diverse venues in the country, featuring a world-class motocross track, dirt oval and drag strip all on the same property.
  • Budds Creek is known for its iconic mix of sand and clay, multiple elevation changes and wide range of obstacles.
  • In 2007, Budds Creek MX Park was the host venue for the Motocross of Nations.
  • A total of seven Maryland natives will line up between the 450 Class and 250 Class for their home race on the circuit.
  • Nine different 450 Class riders have earned a moto podium finish so far this season.
  • Ryan Dungey is the only rider to finish inside the top 10 in every moto thus far and is the only rider to finish on the overall podium at every round.
  • Dungey will be going for his fourth consecutive win at Budds Creek, and fifth career win at the circuit.
  • Ken Roczen and Dungey are both in the midst of a seven-moto podium streak. No other active rider in the 450 Class has more than three moto podiums.
  • The three-rider Autotrader.com/Toyota/Yamaha (JGRMX) squad currently has each of its riders inside the top 10 in the championship. Each of those riders has also finished on the podium in a moto this season.
  • Jeremy Martin is the only rider in the 250 Class to finish inside the top 10 in each moto thus far.
  • Martin is the only rider in the 250 Class to earn more than one Bud Light Fastest Qualifier Award.
  • Martin and Marvin Musquin have combined to lead 87 percent of the laps this season and have won every moto in 2015.
  • The 250 Class boasts 11 different moto podium finishers and eight different lap leaders thus far. Seven different riders have finished on the overall podium.
  • Each of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's three riders have enjoyed at least one moto podium this season. Two of the three - Chris Alldredge and Adam Cianciarulo - have earned overall podium finishes.
  • 450 Class Stats
    • The first 450 Class race held at Budds Creek was May 22, 1994. Mike LaRocco won on a Kawasaki.
    • This will be the 22nd time the gate will drop at Budds Creek for the 450 Class.
    • Ricky Carmichael held a perfect record at Budds Creek. In eight starts, he posted eight overall wins, winning 13 of 16 motos.
    • While he never won there in the 250 Class, Ryan Dungey has won three straight years at Budds Creek, and a total of four times over the last five years.
    • Ryan Dungey is the only rider, other than Ricky Carmichael, to have more than two wins in the 450 Class at Budds Creek (4 overall wins). He is also the only active rider in the field with a premier class win at the track.
    • Chad Reed is the only international rider to ever win a 450 Class overall at Budds Creek.
    • Florida residents have won the last 15 races in the 450 Class at Budds Creek - Chad Reed (‘09 & ‘11), Ryan Dungey (‘10, ‘12-‘14), James Stewart (‘08), Ricky Carmichael (‘00-‘07).
    • In 21 years, only nine different riders have captured victories at Budds Creek in the 450 Class.
