Once again, we're making you do the work! Every few weeks, we're going to dig into the archives for an old-school photo, and we'll ask you, our knowledgable (???) readers to identify something. Could be the rider, the bike, the track, the year or all four. It will be tough, so if your motocross knowledge only stretches back to Ryan Villopoto's days in the Lites class, you need not apply.
But if you're sharp, you can win a prize!
Before we get into this week's entry, we will reveal last week's answer and winner.
We asked: Name the two guys in the photo, what company they founded, the year and city it was taken.
The answer: Andrew Renshaw (L) and Henry Rosenthal (R), the founders of Renthal from 1972. The city is Macclesfield in Cheshire County. Congrats to no one. For the first time, no one got it correct.
So this week, our friends at Renthal will put two prizes on the line, and this week they're giving away a Renthal hat and a set of soft haffle grips and grip glue to whoever guesses (correctly) first.
Email your answer to Renthal to this address: contests@renthal.com.
Include Racer X Trivia in the subject line, please. By the way, you can bench race all you want in the comments section below but we are not picking winners based on the comments -- you must send the email to be eligible for a prize.
Now, this week's photo: Name riders #4, #1, #55, #33, #19 and #38, the year and the track.
Send the answer to contests@renthal.com and put Racer X Trivia in the subject line. Good luck!
