  • Nick Wey Partners with HoleShot

Phoenix, AZ – Just days before the Monster Energy AMA Supercross arrives in Phoenix, the upstart drive system innovators at HoleShot announced they will be a season-long sponsor for veteran and fan-favorite Nick Wey on his #27 Kawasaki entry in the 450-cc class.

“We designed our products to surpass the performance demands of professional competition, so this is a natural fit and great opportunity to demonstrate when we say ‘Race Tested, Ride Ready,’ we mean our product will exceed the demands of competitors and hobbyists alike,” said AJ Whisler, CEO of HoleShot.

Wey and the Pro Circuit powered Mafia Moto Crew Kawasaki will provide HoleShot’s sprockets its professional motorcycle racing debut at Chase Field on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, which is the second of 16 races that are part of the AMA Supercross season that culminates in May and is considered the world’s premier stadium motorcycle circuit.

“Nick ran our sprockets through a battery of tests before agreeing to do the deal, which is perfectly understandable since we’re a new brand,” add Whisler. “He can speak to his experience during those tests, though I’ll just say that our sprockets exceeded his expectations, and it’s especially nice to be able to welcome Nick to our team during our hometown MX event.”

“I was intrigued by HoleShot because the engineering, detail, and design of the products really takes sprockets to an entirely new level,” said Wey who has always been well-known for his meticulous attention to detail and demand for performance. “I have used a lot of different products over my career and quality and function of HoleShot sprockets is better than any sprocket I have ever had on my race bike."

The state-of-the-art HoleShot sprocket offers a series of unique attributes, including zero oscillation, industry-leading radiused teeth, milled i-beam spoke construction, 2-sided radial mud pack relief and unparalleled detail-to-weight reductions. The combination is not available in any other brand of sprocket.

The 520, 428 and 420 version of the sprockets are available online at Motorcycle Superstore for all late model Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki and KTM brands, as are HoleShot chains that feature European alloys and construction, high stress limits, KSJ bushing technology for less initial stretch, and tight fit master links for reliability.
