Today at the MXGP of Goias in Brazil, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antonio Cairoli clinched his eighth World Championship. He now trails Stefan Everts (10) by two on the all-time list. Germany's Max Nagl went 1-1 on the day to win the MXGP Class. Gautier Paulin and Carioli would round out the podium.
In MX2, Romain Febvre won his first career GP with 1-3 scores. Dylan Ferrandis (2-2) and Tim Gajser(7-1) wound round out the podium. Red Bull KTM's Jordi Tixier drew closer to the sidelined Jeffery Herlings, picking up 34 points in Brazil. Tixier now trails Herlings by 23 points heading into the season finale in Mexico.
