Following a successful 2009 season with factory Suzuki, including a down-to-the-wire SX title fight with James Stewart (one he ultimately lost) and his first 450MX title, Chad Reed transitioned to Kawasaki in 2010. Billed as the "Dream Team," Reed, along with Ryan Villopoto, were expected to battle for both 450 titles. But an early season injury in supercross, followed by an illness that ended his motocross season early, ruined any chances of a title run.
