Toronto produced a great round of Monster Energy Supercross racing with a thrilling 450 SX main event. Chad Reed took the start, but Davi Millsaps, determined to stay in the championship chase, got around to grab the early lead. Millsaps fended off the advances of Ryan Villopoto for nearly half of the 20-lap main, until Villopoto finally found an inside line after the finish line jump and took the spot. From there, the defending champion pulled away to take his seventh win of the season.
Millsaps was left to deal with pressure from Ryan Dungey, but Dungey stalled while trying to set up a pass, and fell back to fourth behind Reed. Dungey repassed Reed to take the final podium spot.
In the 250s, Marvin Musquin had a huge crash in practice and wasn't feeling quite right, but a good start in the main event cured everything. He pulled away for his third-straight win, while points leader Wil Hahn had to come from around fifth to get to second place. Blake Wharton fended off a charge from Jeremy Martin to hold the last podium spot.
