Yoshimura Daytona Recap
Yoshimura scored five of the top ten 450SX spots on the 2013 Daytona AMA Supercross course designed by Ricky Carmicheal inside the famous high banked oval.
Muscle Milk Honda's Justin Barcia lead the charge for the Yoshimura riders. Last year's 250SX winner had a brief encounter with the lead, but was edged out by eventual winner Ryan Villopoto and second place Ryan Dungey. Barcia's third place showing was a strong result for the 450SX class rookie.
Just off the podium in fourth was GIECO Honda's Eli Tomac who put in a gritty ride to the finish. In his third race of his four-race 450SX tour of the east coast, Tomac was impressive to say the least and had the speed to challenge for the podium.
In the 250SX class, Yoshimura equipped GIECO Honda's Wil Hahn raced to a dominating win in his heat race to set the stage for the main event. In the main, Wil worked his way up to 2nd place, coming up shy of his third-straight victory. His effort that keeps him five points ahead in the 250SX overall season standings.
Next weekend the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series heads to Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, for round 11 of 17. See you there!
