Anaheim 3 Super Spoiler Report
Big shakeup in Monster Energy Supercross tonight, as Ryan Dungey came from the very last transfer spot in the LCQ to a main event win, a huge recovery. Meanwhile, points leader Davi Millsaps rode solid and held on for second, while the riders right behind him in points, Trey Canard and Ryan Villopoto, had crash-filled nights and could only muster 7th and 8th.
Justin Barcia joined Millsaps and Dungey on the podium. James Stewart and Chad Reed were fourth and fifth.
Dungey took the lead from Mike Alessi on the second lap, then held strong under early pressure from Millsaps to eventually pull away. Stewart passed Millsaps for second, but Millsaps then got him back, and Stewart made another mistake, allowing Barcia to pass him as well.
In the 250 Class, Ken Roczen won his second straight race, topping Martin Davalos, who pressed him for the first half of the race. Third went to Eli Tomac, who had a terrible start.
