Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Blake Baggett bones in his hand and wrist during last weekend's first turn melee in the 250SX main event (he didn't crash, but was hit a cartwheeling bike). He had a cast put on the hand on Monday, but then cut it off and tried to go racing today. He looked okay, until he got whiskey throttle (due to the wrist/hand injury) through a rhythm section and crashed spectaculaly.
With that, the experiment is over, and Blake is going to sit out tonight's race, and quite possibly the rest of the West Region 250 SX season in order to get healed up for the motocross season. Surgery might be in order, but no one is sure yet.
Tough luck for him. Get well soon, Blake!
