Chad Reed secured Two Two Motorsports’ plans for the summer with the much anticipated announcement this week that Ben Townley would indeed be coming back to race the outdoors for the formidable Honda team. Chad has always maintained that he would be handing the riding duties over eventually, but his untimely injury has moved that timetable up until he is able to get back on his own bike. This is what championship caliber teams do……they adapt, overcome adversity and move forward. We’ll get the latest on CR’s recovery and the newly formed plans for the rest of the year.
GEICO’s Kevin Windham put on a mud riding clinic while securing a podium in Daytona that added to his already legendary status in the sport after celebrating his 200th SX main-event milestone before a sold-out crowd in Atlanta. K-Dub is used to the highs-n-lows of a competitive season and an unfortunate crash in Indy left the cagy veteran with a DNF, and sore neck and back. Kevin will fill us in on the Cajun remedies he’s using to heal up and if he’ll be ready to go in Toronto this weekend.
Pro Circuit’s Darryn Durham had some doubters before the season began questioning if he deserved the coveted ride, but he’s answered that and more with his results on the track. DD is second in the championship points and had an interesting night on the way to the podium in Indy that we’ll be sure to ask about. We’ve known the Durham family since the amateur ranks and can always expect a great interview.
