VOLCOM and French Motocross phenom, Gautier Paulin , have joined forces as the 21-year-old sets his sights on the 2012 FIM Motocross World title. The 16 round series which kicks off on April 9 in Valkenswaard, Netherlands will see the factory Kawasaki rider spearhead Volcom’s European Motocross program, which mirrors the success that they have had in the USA with riders such as Ryan Villopoto and the mighty Pro Circuit Team.
“I’ve always admired Volcom as a global brand and how they do things differently,” explained Paulin. “ I’ve followed their success in surf, skate, snow, mx and am really excited that they are moving into motocross here in Europe and that they will be supporting me.“
Gautier boasts an impressive record as a former BMX World champion, European MX champion, and stellar MX2+MX1 GP wins including moto victories at the 2009 and 2011 MX of Nations.
“We are excited with the addition of Gautier Paulin, his past achievements and his enthusiasm toward Volcom make him a great choice for the brand.”
