ClubMX St. Louis Recap

Chesterfield, SC – Struggles continued for the ClubMX supercross riders at the St. Louis round of the Monster Energy Supercross series.  Both Phil Nicoletti and AJ Catanzaro posted solid qualifying times going into the night and were able to qualify for the main event directly from the first heat race with Nicoletti placing 4^th and Catanzaro 8^th.  Nicoletti was still riding with a banged up knee after a get off during timed qualifying in Atlanta.

Going into the main event, both riders had high hopes of turning around the bad luck that they had the week prior in Atlanta where both riders were unable to transfer to the main event.  Unfortunately, Nicoletti ran into some bike trouble and was unable to complete more than 6 laps of the race.  Catanzaro had a decent main event and was able to fight his way up from back in the back to a 14^th place finish.  Both riders look to rebound at the next supercross round in Daytona.

In the meantime, both riders will be continue to put in the hard work at ClubMX during the week.  Judging from all of the hard work put in during the week, Phil and AJ’s luck is sure to change.  Look for Catanzaro and Nicoletti both to place in the top-10 in the coming weeks.
