Wilson, Lemoine, Lindstrom, BROtocross, Cotter, Friese on DMXS Radio Tonight
Pro Circuit’s Dean Wilson started out the night in San Diego almost a full race out of the championship battle, but left with the lead after an eventful night shook up the points in a huge way. We’ll catch up with the Scottish wonder before he goes into seclusion while the Supercross Lites West boys have their turn over the next several weeks.
Two Two Motorsports’ Lars Lindstrom comes from pure motocross pedigree. His dad, AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee Gunnar Lindstrom, is one of the pioneers of American motocross. Lars is in his second season spinning wrenches for the 22 and is considered one of the most respected mechanics in the pits. Chad Reed is a smart man on and off the track and has obviously assembled a formidable team which Lars is a huge part of each weekend. He’ll be checking in from Big D tonight as the team prepares for the east coast swing.
EZ at BROtocross.com brings a slap-yo-mamma perspective to the sport of motocross that sometimes takes itself waaay too seriously. Those that are easily offended or thin skinned need not apply, but if you want a view of the sport through a funny and unique prism make sure you check out www.brotocross.com often. We’re glad to finally catch up with the anonymous one from behind the scenes
HRT’s Matt Lemoine is set to debut his 2012 season in Dallas this weekend and the Texan seems poised and ready to go. Last season reminded us that Matt has the speed to contend for the podium and he’s worked hard off the track hoping to carry that same determination to get back on top where he belongs. Other than his misplaced allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys, we love everything about this kid.
MX Sports’ Tim Cotter is a member of the family here at DMXS Radio and has been with us from our humble beginnings. We’re excited to once again be part of the Third Annual Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross Championship at Daytona, and Mr. Cotter will give us the latest on the race and the new two-day format. Daytona is the oldest supercross race in the AMA series and this is the only unique opportunity where an amateur rider gets the chance to race on the famous Daytona track. Check out www.mxsports.com to sign-up or for more information.
Moto Concept’s Vince Friese has two consecutive top-10 weekends going into the break and he hopes to keep that rolling when the Lites West gets back to racing in a few weeks. I’m sure he would rather have people taking about his results all the time, but he does have an undeniable track record of ramming the shit out of other riders. We’ll give him his due props and let him speak about the rest in his own words. There are always a few sides to every story.
Rock River’s lovely team manager Christina Denny will be joining us in the studio tonight!
The 9th Annual DMXS Ride4AT will be held at the AMP MX track this year on Sunday following the Atlanta Supercross. Check out www.ampmx.com for all the details.
