It was expected to rain here for Monster Energy Supercross in Los Angeles, and it's true. But the track was covered yesterday a few hours before the rain came down, and the rain is expected to lessen or stop completely later in the day. Don't count on this being a mudder quite yet.
Practice is delayed, check out our revised race schedule here .
What else is there to talk about? Well, contrary to what the track map showed earlier this week, this track does have whoop sections, two, actually. One is short and the other is fairly long, however, the bumps in the long whoop section are spread out so far that it will be hard to blitz over them. One person yesterday called them "old school, non-blitzing" whoops. The track also features an over-under bridge and a bunch of big bowl turns. The dirt was super dry yesterday, perhaps in anticipation of a little extra watering via mother nature.
Stay tuned throughout the day for updates. Practice starts at 3:45 local time.
