Brett Downey Safety Foundation Attends Winter National Olympics
Riverside, CA– The Brett Downey Safety Foundation will be attending the 40th Annual Thor Winter National Olympics, November 21-26, 2011. Ricky will be out and about speaking at the rider and flagger meetings, awarding flaggers each day acknowledging their hard work, offering assistance to the Winter O’s crew and meeting with rider families. If you are attending the races, please feel free to come by and say hi. You can find Ricky and Holly setting up shop with the Vurb crew. To help cover some of the Foundation’s travel expenses, Holly will be selling our newly designed t-shirts and bracelets. We are also so excited with our latest raffle offering. We will be selling raffle tickets during the week for gift cards and a grand prize of one XBOX 360 complete special edition for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Winners of the prizes will be announced on Friday, November 25th. Raffle tickets will sell for 1ticket is $2, 3 for $5, 7 for $10 and 15 tickets for $20. Keep an eye out for the Foundation crew to make sure you get your tickets over the course of the week.
The raffle helps cover the cost to send the Foundation ambassadors out to key amateur races for assistance in flagger training and recognition, promote safety education and awareness to tracks, promoters, riders and parents.
