It's hot here in Florida this afternoon--springtime is nearly here, but it sure seems like a summer day in Jacksonville. It's so hot that they had to re water the track a few times after the free practice.
The track is technical, with steep jumps and a few jump combos that are as easier to overjump that underjump. A few of the jumps are hard to jump for the 250 riders, but even when Justin Barcia and Malcolm Stewart figured out a way to go triple on to a table like the 450s do, it didn't even help them make up much time.
Ryan Sipes was fastest in Lites practice--again--with a 45.9. Next came Wilson 46.2, then Barcia with a 46.5, Lemoine with a 46.7 and Gannon Audette with a 47.1
In the Supercross class James Stewart ran a 44.383, which was, um, quite a bit faster than everyone else. Ryan Dungey 45.162, Trey Canard 45.4, Kevin Windham 45.8 and Chad Reed 45.9 landed in the top five. Next came RV2 45.9, Brayton 46.4, Short 46.6, Millsaps 46.72 and Stroupe 46.79.
Another practice begins at 4 p.m. Stay here for updates.
