BTOSports.com Byrne Nets Season Best in Indy

After a treacherous Daytona, the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team of Michael Byrne and Jason Thomas rolled into Indianapolis looking for some great results. Thomas is still nursing an injury to his knee and gutting it out while Byrne is just getting up to speed after being off for a long time with a wrist injury.

The Indy track rutted up and tested the best to the limit but Byrne made it into the main event directly from the heat race. Once there, the #26 Suzuki rode hard, avoided the mistakes that plagued other riders and when the checkers flew, he had a season best 12th place.

“The track was gnarly and it definitely challenged me” said Byrne after the race “But my bike worked great and I had a decent night. I know I’ll be getting better and better from here on out.”

Thomas wasn’t able to make the main event but his knee has recovered to the point where he is able to practice during the week to try and keep sharp. It’s a tough blow for JT$  but he’s trying the best he can.
