BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Byrne Returns in San Diego

With team stalwart Jason Thomas missing the race, the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team needed a boost this weekend in San Diego and they got it in the form of Michael Byrne. Byrner, out since November with an injury, made his return to the team this past weekend and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Well maybe it could’ve for Michael as the rains came down and made it a tough, demanding track for a guy that was racing his first sx in months. Byrne had pretty good practice times but went down in the heat race thereby forcing him to the LCQ. Once there, Byrne rode home in second and took the transfer to the main event.
“I knew that I would be rusty and my wrist injury made using the throttle a little difficult for sure” said Byrne after the race “Once in the main, it was just survival and I’m looking forward to this weekend in Atlanta because it’s close to home and I know the conditions will be perfect.”
The BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki team will have, for the first time this year, it’s complete line-up of Thomas and Byrne for this weekend’s race in Atlanta
