BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Thomas Comes Through in LA
January 27, 2011 9:45am
With the eyes of the world watching his every move (ok, maybe not him but the field in general) BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki’s Jason Thomas blasted off the line for the start of the 450 main event with nothing but hopes and dreams of putting his Suzuki RMZ450 inside the top ten. Unfortunately for JT$ and his team, a poor start relegated him to playing catch-up throughout the 20-lap final.
“I was really excited for the supercross as it was the first time here in Dodger Stadium but I got a bad start and didn’t ride the way I know how to” says the eternal privateer king Thomas on his night “I also made some changes to the bike that went in the wrong direction with the way the dirt formed and I wasn’t fast enough in the whoops.”
Still making the main event in this stacked field is impressive and with the 18th place finish in the main, JT moves into 19th in the series points.
“Jason rode ok this weekend but I know he can do better” commented team manager Forrest Butler “I know that he’s got it in him and I’d like to add that our other rider Michael Byrne has started riding sx this past week and we look forward to him being with us in a few weeks.”
