How One Baseball Reporter Saw The LA Supercross

Tom Hoffarth is apparently the baseball beat reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News, which means he covers the Los Angeles Dodgers. He also covered last night's first-ever Monster Energy AMA Supercross race at Dodger Stadium. Hoffarth took umbrage with the decision to hold the event, ranting about how the sacred grass of the Dodgers was covered in "a symphony of sludge."
"Dodger Stadium was transformed into a giant truck stop just outside of Blythe. It was a cross between a Bret Michaels concert, an NRA convention and hog-calling contest. Big hair, meet big air. No tattoo was taboo. More leather than Garvey, Lopes, Russell and Cey. Dignity dug itself a hole and crawled into it."
