PowerBar® to Fuel Shea Racing SX Team
HOUSTON – PowerBar® has a national program for athletes who represent its core values of excelling in their sport through proper nutrition and preparation – it’s called PowerBar Team Elite. Since pro motocross racers are some of the fittest athletes in the world who invest a great deal in training and expend massive energy, PowerBar is a perfect complement to this sport. Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear powered by Munn Racing KTM is proud to announce that PowerBar will fuel its six athletes for the entire 2011 AMA Monster Energy® Supercross.
PowerBar, through the Team Elite program, will supply its energy nutrition products to Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear as part of the athletes’ training and practice regimen during the week and fuel them on race day. PowerBar’s well-known Performance® energy bars, ProteinPlus™ energy bars, PowerBar energy gels, and a new drink that will be launched in 2011 will be supplied to team athletes. The athletes will have access to PowerBar training resources including nutritionists who will offer counseling during the season, as needed.
PowerBar has been part of the Shea Racing program for three consecutive seasons. The team is happy to have them on board again supporting a massive expansion to field six Lites riders in both the east and west regions of AMA Supercross.
"PowerBar provides the optimal nutrition and energy resource to fuel our riders for an entire night of AMA Supercross racing," said Tim Shea, team manager. "We are honored to be associated with such a powerful brand and to have access to their products and resources. PowerBar has been with us almost since the beginning and now they will receive significantly more exposure via our six riders and large pit area with semi transporter. PowerBar will provide the nutritional energy combination that goes well with our Eleven 10 Mods/DR.D/Enzo Suspension KTM 250 SX-F race bikes that will be optimally-tuned."
