  • RS-4 Exhaust Systems Now Available for 2011 KX450

Chino, Calif. – The 2011 Kawasaki KX 450F is here, and Yoshimura R&D would like to announce the availability of their race-proven RS-4 series of exhausts for this brand new machine. The KX 450F is a capable motocrosser on its own, but the addition of an RS-4 exhaust system really allows the machine to breathe and make some serious power. You'll notice an immediate boost in horsepower and torque right off of idle, and the improvement in mid-range and top-end power will blow you away!

RS-4 Slip-On

The RS-4 Slip-on is the simplest way to take advantage of the benefits a Yoshimura exhaust can give your KX 450F. Each RS-4 Slip-on is constructed from stainless steel and aluminum-alloy for lightness and strength, and features a stylish carbon fiber end-cap for even more weight savings. The RS-4 Slip-on also includes a USFS approved spark arrestor. Installation is quick and easy thanks to the included hardware and easy to follow instructions that come with each pipe.

MSRP: $395.00

RS-4 Full-System

The RS-4 Full-System takes the already awesome RS-4 Slip-on, and mates it to a high-flow Yoshimura header and mid-pipe for even more power. RS-4 full systems are available in standard stainless/aluminum, full titanium or titanium/carbon finishes. The stainless/aluminum system features a stainless steel header and mid-pipe, while the full titanium and titanium/carbon include lightweight titanium pipes. These titanium pipes will help shave a few extra pounds off of your bike, giving you another competitive edge over anyone who is still using stock steel pipes. Each RS-4 system includes installation instructions and mounting hardware for an easy upgrade. The stainless system has a USFS approved spark arrestor while the titanium systems come with an AMA PRO legal sound insert.

Also Available for the KX450F is the PIM-2 Unit and DATA Box.

2011 KX450F EMS PIM2 Unit
The PIM-2 installs easily, typically in less than 30 minutes using simple Plug-n-Play technology. Plug the PIM-2 into the stock wiring harness, mount it to your bike using the supplied mounting kit, and you are ready to race! The PIM-2 comes pre-loaded with two separate fuel injection maps for either a Yoshimura Slip-on or Full Exhaust System.

The adjustability is limitless and easy. If the two supplied maps are not enough, there are dozens of free downloadable maps on the Yoshimura web site.

P/N: R-433-2446
MSRP $399.95

2011 KX450F Yoshimura DATA Box
The Data Box consists of an air fuel sensor and amplifier box that plugs into the PIM-2 and allows for self-mapping of the motorcycle. Self-mapping means that as the user rides the bike on a dyno or on a closed course, the DATA Box automatically calculates the required fuel adjustment at each rpm and throttle position to reach the users selectable target air fuel ratio.

The DATA Box offers an alternative way for mapping without the time or cost of a custom dyno tune. There is nothing easier then simply riding a few laps and then enjoying the downloaded maps efficiency. The DATA Box Mapping software allows for the user to easily enter the target air fuel ratio, start, stop, and review the results of the self-mapping function. Once the recommended adjustments have been reviewed, the user can either apply all of the suggested adjustments or just a certain range with a few simple clicks of the mouse.

The kit comes with all of the required hardware, but will require modification of the exhaust pipe header or purchase of a pre-installed header from Yoshimura to accept the air/fuel sensor fitting.

P/N: R-433-DATA
MSRP $429.00
