Pro Taper Race Report: Washougal

Corona, CA – Team Rockstar Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey simply dominated round eight of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championships at Washougal MX Park.

Dungey started the weekend off with a bang by setting the fastest qualifying time and securing the pole position for the day. Despite a small crash in moto one, Ryan and his Pro Taper EVO handlebars convincingly won both motos in route to his 7th overall victory of the season. The viewers that tuned in to the live Speed TV broadcast witnessed a truly dominating performance that extended the rookie’s championship lead to 95 points - almost 4 full motos.

Dungey is riding a seven moto win streak and has control of the title by nearly two full races heading in to the two-week break. Round nine at Unadilla will be televised live by NBC and so far this summer Ryan is undefeated in front of the live cameras.
