  • Foremost Team Wins AX Lites Class Both Nights at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland

Greensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team dominated the AX Lites class this past weekend in Baltimore, Maryland at the 1st Mariner Arena. On Friday it was Jim Neese who took the win followed by Tyler Bright in 2nd place. On Saturday night, it was Tyler Bright in 1st place and Neese in 3rd place.

In the AX class results were mixed. The weekend started on Friday night with Tyler Bright finishing in with a respectable 8th place followed by Neese in 11th place.

On Saturday night Neese started very strong with the second fastest qualifying time early in the day. In the night show he was running in second in his Heat Race, but an unfortunate crash took him out of his top position. The Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) was more of the same for Neese, after starting in 2nd place and battling for 1st, he was overtaken late in the race and finished third. Tyler Bright was taken out in both his Heat Race and the LCQ.

After the first two weekends of racing in the 2010 season the overall standings in the AX and AX Lites classes for Foremost Insurance Arenacross Team are as follows: Tyler Bright leads the team in 13th overall in the AX class, followed by Jim Neese in 15th place. In the AX Lites East class it is Tyler Bright in 1st place, followed by Taylor Futrell in 7th place.

"This weekend the team continued to produce strong results in the Lites class with our four podiums. I felt very strong in the AX class, strong enough to run top three. It was unfortunate that things did not work out better in the AX class. Tyler and I will go back and work on ways to improve our results by next week when the Series moves to Hampton, Virginia," commented Jim Neese, team owner.

The team will be racing in Hampton, Virginia this upcoming weekend January 22 and 23, 2010 at the Hampton Coliseum. Additional details are available at www.arenacross.com.
