Ryan Capes Breaks Ramp to Ramp Motorcycle Distance Record
Irvine, CA - Ryan Capes broke the ramp-to-ramp distance record on Saturday night in Reno, Nevada. The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino hosted the world record jump with the parking lot full of cars, motorcycles and more then 10,000 fans on hand all with their eyes glued to the massive ramps waiting to catch Capes on his way to a world record, twice!
Capes went huge on his first jump clearing 287 feet, clearly better than the previous world record of 252 feet set in 1999. After he told the crowd that he had promised Reno a 300-foot jump. So after a short delay for some bike adjustments, he got gnarly again in his Von Zipper lime/pink Porkchop goggles, this time soaring to 316 feet as nearby U.S. 395 slowed to a crawl as traffic stopped to watch Capes go over 300 feet.
Ryan Capes cruises the sky in Lime/Pink mashup porkchop. This slice of goggle protein is the other white meat, the porkchop allows you to bring home the bacon.
