Division7/Star Racing/Yamaha Seattle Report
Seattle, WA - Over the weekend Division 7/Star Racing/Yamaha and our lone rider, #164 Michael Hall all focused in deeply at the task of turning the tables and grabbing a finish up front. Clear skies greeted the 50,016 fans that visited Qwest Field in Seattle, Washington for the penultimate round of the Lites West AMA Supercross Series.
The night show began with the rookie slated into Heat race #2, Hall got the best of starts inside the top three and immediately advanced to 2nd when he blitzed through the whoops. Trailing in 2nd, Hall kept close pursuit for much of the six laps. However, with less than half of a lap until the finish, Hall mistimed a rhythm section causing him to step off. Fortunately, he was able remount quickly and secured a transfer position of 5th.
The 15 lap main event fired out of the gate, and once again Hall was high up in the field, 5th at the end of lap one. For the first six laps of the race our Yamaha pilot hung tough in good fashion, holding onto 5th. Only losing one additional spot for most of the race, Hall fought off countless attacks successfully. With the white flag lap in progress, and having just raced the most solid race in his short pro career, it looked as if 6th was Hall’s barring any slip up. Regrettably, inside of one turn to go, Hall was riding too cautiously and cross rutted on the face of a small double. Duplicating earlier misfortunes, this would put Hall on the dirt but his bike kept running. This allowed him to continue with only a few positions relinquished, finishing out 9th.
Star Racing thanks all these key backers for their quality service.
