April 21, 2009 10:12am
Hollister, CA - Bobby Bonds made his way to Hollister Hills, Ca this past weekend where he competed in Rnd #4 of the 2009 WORCS series. Bonds pulled a great jump off the gate, but would clip bars and put him back around 12th or so as they headed out of turn one. Bobby then proceeded to put his head down and make a run to try and regain points in this championship hunt. After the dust was settled and 2-3 mishaps, Bonds was able to capitalize and finish on the podium in third and tally up a few more points in order to keep in the Championship race. Bonds now sits 4th in points with 6 more rounds of racing to go.
“Hollister was better, I actually felt good today. I’m just trying to chip away at the points here. Dietrich is running really well and we can’t let him get too far out in front. I’m going to Honeylake next, where I tend to do well and then its off to Washington where I do really well. I’m looking forward on getting back into the hunt and I can’t thank my sponsors, friends, family & fans enough for all their support in my program.” Bobby Bonds
Next stop for Bobby & his Valli Motorsports team, May 10th in Milford, Ca (Honeylake MX), which is 60 miles outside of Reno, NV. Bonds sits 4th in points with 73.
