  • DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing Ready for Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FLA.  – Seven rounds are already in the books for the Lites Eastern Region portion of the AMA Supercross tour. Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing is looking ahead to the final round this Saturday, April 4 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Augie Lieber has eyes towards making the main event in his home state where he lives in Loxahatchee in the southern part of Florida. Meanwhile, Teddy Parks, who hails from Princeton, Texas, will seek to make another main event during his rookie season.

Parks has made it to four of seven 250cc Lites main events this season. Lieber has qualified for every night program and has come close several times to transferring to the main event. During last weekend’s race in Toronto, Ontario, both riders made the night program via afternoon timed practice. Though neither were able to make it through to the main on the very rough, outdoor motocross-style track that was designed by three-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeff Stanton.

Parks sits in 23rd in the Lites Eastern Region standings and has a shot at the top 20 in the final results.

The AMA Supercross tour makes its return to Jacksonville after a multi-year hiatus. The stadium is home of the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars.

“We went into the first round in Houston to see what we could do and realistically didn’t think we would make all eight rounds,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “With the support from DNA Energy Drink and the riders’ families and personal sponsors we were able to get to all the Eastern Region rounds. Look for both riders to put their ultimate best efforts in this weekend.”

Fans be sure to stop by to pick up a team poster, get autographs and meet the DNA Energy Drink Girls when the team hits Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Look for the black and gold DNA Energy Drink-clad transporter. Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
