  • Dungey to Host Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Orange County at Anaheim 3

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – In a once in a lifetime opportunity, 15 lucky pairings from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County will attend this weekend’s third and final Monster Energy Supercross race from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. On behalf of Rockstar/Makita Suzuki rider Ryan Dungey, this exclusive group will receive VIP treatment on Saturday, February 7 as an integral part of Dungey’s race team for the day.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. They have been a leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County provides mentors for children, ages 6 through 16, in communities across the county.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters participants will receive an all-access tour of the state of the art Rockstar/Makita Suzuki race rig as well as participate in a track walk prior to the race all while getting to know their host for the day.

Dungey will ride on behalf of his guests, providing them with authentic jerseys and premier seats for the evening’s action that kicks off at 7 p.m.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters is an excellent group of people and I’m happy to have them out to our races,” said Dungey. “I feel blessed to be able to do what I love (racing) for a living and to have such a strong family that supports me. Motocross is such a strong family sport and one that I think can set a good example for the kids of Big Brothers Big Sisters.”

Currently leading the AMA Supercross Lites Western Regional standings after four races, Dungey is looking for his third victory of the season after impressive back-to-back wins in Phoenix and Anaheim 2. He has posted finishes of third and second in the remaining rounds.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to help children reach their potential through professionally-supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that have a measurable impact on youth. Their Vision is successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities.
