  • News from Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing
Greensboro, North Carolina - The Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team raced in Ohio this past weekend at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Mike McDade was the hero for the night as he pulled holeshots in both main events and finished second in the Arenacross class behind Jeff Gibson. Mike finished fourth overall in the Lites class after a crash caused him to give up the lead. This is Mike's second podium this season; in Grand Rapids he finished third overall in the Lites class.

All of the Foremost Insurance Jim Neese Racing Team members made the main event in both classes on Saturday night. With a 16 rider grid in both events, the Foremost team comprised close to 20% of the starting riders. Given the level of competition this year in the Arenacross Series, this alone represents a great accomplishment for the team.

Results and Point Standings for Dayton, Ohio:

Mike McDade    Jim Neese    Josh Thomas
AX results          2nd               10th             13th
Lites results       4th               11th               7th

AX points            15th               9th             23rd
Lites East points    7th                                  9th

"This was a strong weekend for the team. I knew McDade could run at the front of the pack in the Arenacross class and he showed that he is going to be up there this season. Josh Thomas had a very solid weekend and is riding well; I think he will continue to improve throughout the season. I was off my game this weekend, but I plan to get things worked out this week. This was the first weekend that we ran the Kenda Triple tires all around; we had been running the Triple on the rear only. The tires worked great and we are looking forward to winning on them," stated Jim Neese.

"This was a great weekend for me. I know I can win consistently. Each week I keep improving as I get more familiar with this style of racing. That said, none of this of this would be possible without the help of Jim Neese, Foremost Insurance, Kenda and the rest of the team sponsors who make it possible for me to compete every week, commented Mike McDade.

The next races for the team are January 23 - 24, 2009 at the Broadbent Arena in Louisville, Kentucky. The team will be racing Friday and Saturday night.
