Pirelli Boasts Strong Finishes at Monster Energy Supercross Opener from Anaheim

Rome, Ga. – With one of the most memorable nights of racing, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, and FIM World Championship, season kicked off on January 3 from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. Pirelli-backed riders Ben Coisy, Paul Carpenter, Jeff Alessi, and Ben Evans all posted top-10 finishes in the AMA Supercross and AMA Supercross Lites classes to conclude an overall successful weekend for the Pirelli team and its Scorpion MX tire.

After a great start, Coisy maintained a solid pace to bring home his Moto Concepts Honda to a eighth-place finish in the 20-lap Supercross main event, while Carpenter rode solidly throughout the race to follow in 10th aboard his Cernics Kawasaki.

Alessi gave Moto Concepts Honda a pair of eighth-place results with a great ride in the 15-lap Supercross Lites main as Ti-Lube Honda’s Evans finished just behind him in ninth.
