Babbitt’s Hosts New Years Day Open House

AURORA, Ill. – On the first day of the new year, Babbitt’s Sports Center, official sponsor of the AMA Arenacross Series opening round in Grand Rapids, Mich., will host a New Years Day Open House featuring the Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki team and the stars of the AMA Arenacross Series.

For the second year in a row, Babbitt’s Sports Center, in Muskegon, Mich., will be the official site of the pre-race party, offering fans a chance to receive autographs and socialize with the arenacross competitors. Attendees are welcome indulge on free food and Monster Energy Drink and meet the 2009 Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki team featuring defending AMA Arenacross Series Champion Chad Johnson and series runner-up Kelly Smith. Additionally, several of the series’ top competitors will be in attendance along with Miss Arenacross 2009 and Grand Rapids native Lindsey Scheltema, a Babbitt’s women’s motocross team rider.

The festivities begin on New Years Day at 2 p.m. and run through 6 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded as will deals and discounts on accessories, bikes, parts, and tickets to the weekend’s 2009 AMA Arenacross Series premier from Van Andel Arena.
