Veteran BBMX/DNA Energy Drink Honda privateer Jason Thomas sustained a broken fibula and tibia (lower leg) in a heat race crash at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open on Friday night. JT$ is on the mend now. After hanging out in Vegas for a few days waiting for Dr. Steven Augustine to return to Florida after the race, JT had surgery on Monday to insert a rod into his leg. He's doing better now and is looking forward to a fall spent watching football and playing poker. JT doesn't yet have a timetable set for a return, but he thinks he could be back for Anaheim 1.
