Bad Boy® Power Drink’s Jessica Patterson Ready for Another Win

  • Bad Boy® Power Drink’s Jessica Patterson Ready for Another Win
Coming off her first win in round 4 of the 2008 season in Washougal, WA, defending series champion Bad Boy Power Drink - Honda of Houston - Fox Racing rider Jessica Patterson, is ready to win again in round 5 of the AMA / WMA Women's Motocross Pro National Championship this weekend at Southwick Motocross 338 in Southwick, Mass. Jessica, riding her # 1 Honda, will compete on Saturday and Sunday against the sport's fastest women riders.

“My hats off to my fellow racers. The competition has been pretty stiff this year,” said Patterson, who's second in points. “It’s been a tough season so far but my team found something that we’ve been missing all season at Washougal. It was great to be on the podium again. The win has given me a lot of confidence heading in to round 5."

On August 2nd, 5-time WMA National Champion Patterson, sponsored by Bad Boy Power Drink, competed on her # 250 Bad Boy Power Drink - Honda of Houston - Fox Racing Honda in the Women's Motocross event in X Games 14. Patterson, with the Bad Boy Power Drink logo on her helmet, bike and jersey, had the hole shot in the five lap event, then she had the lead for the first 3 laps of the five lap race, garnering an enormous amount of time on ESPN’s cameras. Patterson crashed in lap number four, and ended up in 4th place.

"Jessica Patterson gave it her best shot at the X Games and we're all very proud of her effort", said Mike Healy, VP of Sales for Bad Boy Power Drink. "When you ride as hard and as fast as Jess, you're bound to crash from time to time...that's racing. Even though she didn't win, the exposure we got from sponsoring Jessica in the X Games was still incredible! We all wish Jessica the best at Washougal."
