Justin Brayton Injury Update
MDK KTM Lites rider, Justin Brayton has been battling an ankle injury since the Wednesday before Glen Helen, the first round of the AMA Motocross Lites series. While testing suspension at Milestone Ranch Motocross Park, Brayton went into a corner standing up and caught his left leg in a rut. It twisted sideways and partially tore ligaments in his ankle.
Right away, Brayton went to visit Dr. Reiman, who suggested that he take a couple of weeks off, but told Brayton that it was ultimately up to him. Leading up to this, Brayton had been working extremely hard and felt confident about going into Glen Helen. Excited to compete in the AMA Motocross Lites series this summer, Brayton decided to try to race in the first round. “I am really bummed about my ankle, but I wanted to go out there and salvage some points in the series,” commented Brayton.
Justin wants to thank Dr. Reiman and also his physical therapist, Curtis Crook, who have been supporting him and pushing him to get back to 100% as quickly as possible. Although Brayton is still dealing with the pain in his ankle, he is going to continue racing in the AMA Motocross Lites series this weekend at Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, Texas.
