Nate Adams Scores his First Dew Tour Championship

Orlando, Florida – October 16, 2006 – Nate Adams scored his first freestyle motocross Dew Tour Championship in Orlando this past weekend. With Nate’s commanding performances this season it was all but a forgone conclusion that he would win the FMX Dew Tour Championship. Going into the final event, all Nate had to do was make it to the finals and the Championship was his. Never one to disappoint however, Nate went out and threw down a huge run and qualified in the top spot earning him the title. This gave him the opportunity to sport his custom painted, gold helmet that read “2006 Dew Tour Champ” on the back.
Despite Adams’ stellar qualifying run, he lost to fellow WMG Athlete Mike Mason who scored his first Dew Tour win and Nate had to settle for third place. However, the third place finish didn’t damper the mood of the Dew Tour Champion who said: “Ever since I was injured last year and couldn’t compete I’ve wanted to win this championship so bad. It feels so great to finally win, I’m just speechless.” Nate was awarded $75,000 for winning the FMX Championship and said he would definitely be back next year to defend his title.
