We just got off the phone with DC, and after everyone held out hope
that Ricky Carmichael's injured shoulder would heal enough for him to
be able to lead Team USA in the MX1 class at this weekend's Motocross
des Nations, the champ just isn't ready and has regrettably pulled out
of the race. RC's Factory Suzuki teammate Ivan Tedesco will take his
place in the lineup.
Carmichael is due to arrive in England this afternoon to lend his support and leadership to Team USA.
The new lineup for Team USA's MXdN effort is:
MX1: James Stewart
MX2: Ryan Villopoto
MX3: Ivan Tedesco
