Monster Energy’s Gosselaar On The Podium In Orlando!

  • Monster Energy’s Gosselaar On The Podium In Orlando!

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Chris Gosselaar races to 3rd place finish at Orlando, now tied for 2nd overall with Josh Grant (94-94)

CARLSBAD, Calif., (March 21, 2006) – There’s an excellent race brewing between Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki-backed Chris Gosselaar and rival Josh Grant in the AMA Eastern Region Supercross Lites point chase. This past weekend in Orlando Gosselaar was again
on the podium, but a couple clicks behind race winner Grant. This allowed Grant to tie the points chase with Gosselaar at 94-94 for second place overall with two Eastern Lites races remaining on the schedule.

“We’ve got two Eastern Region Lites races left – Detroit this weekend and Houston the weekend after that,” said Gosselaar. “(Davi) Millsaps has a pretty good lead (25 points), but that can be made up quickly if he happens to DNF. Pro Circuit’s got my bike running so fast, I’d really have to mess up not to make the podium. So it’s for sure going right down to the final race in Houston for at least 2nd place overall, maybe even for the title.”

At Orlando Gosselaar got off to a good start, finishing second in his heat race to make the main. In the main event Gosselaar got out early and led the first three laps before being caught by Grant on lap four and Millsaps on lap five. Gosselaar then held his position strong to round out the podium with Grant and Millsaps.
