Devin Simonson gets another chance at Monster Energy AMA Supercross with Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha. After a wrist injury derailed his 2025 SX-only chance with the team (he only races the final three rounds of the 250SX East Division), Simonson now gets a shot at redemption, with another SX-only deal. In his three main event starts in 2025, Simonson scored finishes of 9-9-19 in the East Rutherford, Pittsburgh, and Salt Lake City SX rounds, respectively. We saw some great rides by Coty Schock and Maximus Vohland in supercross this year, could a fully healthy Simonson break into the top five in 2026? He did land a top ten in the 450SX Class in 2023 at the Salt Lake City SX finale, albeit late in the season when several riders were out with injury. Still, there have been some bright signs from Simonson in SX.
Club also announced that Simonson will race WSX in a partnership with Rick Ware Racing.
The following press release is from ClubMX:
Devin Simonson v2.0
The second time around will be even better!
CHESTERFIELD, SC – Devin Simonson had the offer of a lifetime in 2024 when ClubMX offered him the well-deserved chance to race and represent the team for the 2025 Eastern Regional Series of Supercross, a coveted spot most riders dream of. Unfortunately, he broke his wrist in December and never really had the chance to show what he could do until very late in the season. He did line up for the final three races in New Jersey, Pittsburgh and Salt Lake City and finished in the top ten for his region in all three events. Not bad, but not representative of his natural abilities. Where most teams would wipe the slate clean, Devin will get another bite at the apple with a new “250 Supercross only” contract for 2026. Although the decision to race east or west will not come until later, he will be ready.
Simonson has doubled down on his fitness, training and nutrition since the season ended and has shown some remarkable improvements in health and fitness. His attitude has always been one of his best traits – but now that is matched by his commitment and focus to prove to the world that this is the right decision for both parties. The ClubMX collaboration with Rick Ware Racing will also give Simonson a chance to display his newfound skills in different parts of the world starting in October. Racing is exactly the way to measure yourself against your peers and Simonson is ready to go.
Simonson started riding when he got his first motorcycle in 2006 in Terre Haute, IN. As a little kid, his passion grew every year as he aspired to one day be a professional racer like his hero, Ken Roczen did. His racing number was #70, just like Kenny’s as he worked his way through the ranks.
Fast forward to today – Simonson has earned the right to compete at the highest level and will take full advantage of the opportunity. 2026 looks like it is going to be a pivotal year in his career.
Simonson added:
“I am really happy to have this opportunity … again. ClubMX has been an instrumental part of my racing program for a very long time and to give me another chance to prove what I can do. It is all on me now since the Club facility has everything I need to be successful. The tracks, the nutrition program, the new health and wellness center, the trainers and list goes on. I literally could not be in a better place to succeed and I am grateful every day.”
Daniel Blair, ClubMX General Manager:
“I get to work with Devin on the track every day that we train and it’s a sight to see. His natural ability is obvious but this year there is a new level of confidence that has surfaced, making him a real threat. The other nice thing is, he takes instruction well. The more he learns, the better he gets. He is going to be one of those “how’d they do that” riders that we’ll be talking about a lot throughout the season.”
