Haiden Deegan Suffers Broken Left Collarbone in Final 250SMX Moto of Season…MXoN Implications?

Per tonight's broadcast of the SuperMotocross World Championship Final in Las Vegas, Haiden Deegan has suffered a broken left collarbone.
In the final 250SMX moto of the season, Deegan attempted a block pass on race and championship leader Jo Shimoda, which he hoped would result in a points swing his way for the title. However, as both Shimoda and Deegan went down, only Shimoda remounted. Deegan went to pick up his bike but could not and immediately began pointing towards his left arm/shoulder. He walked off and started talking to the Alpinestars medical crew before getting help taking his helmet off.

Now, it was confirmed on the TV broadcast that Deegan has suffered a broken collarbone in the incident. He officially scored fourth in the 250SMX championship after winning both 250SMX titles in the first two seasons of the format.
About an hour later, Chase Sexton went down late in the final 450SMX moto. Not only is that three straight years with Sexton suffering a DNF at the SMX finale, but that is two big crashes for two members of Team USA for the upcoming Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations the first weekend in October. While we have no word on Sexton’s condition at the moment, this was a tough night for Team USA. What happens now?

Update on Chase Sexton
The post-race KTM press release had the following information on Sexton:
"In Moto 1, Sexton completed the first lap in sixth before eventually crossing the finish-line in P7. While running inside the top-five in Moto 2, the 25-year-old would unfortunately crash heavily during the latter stages of the moto, later confirming a mild concussion and a weak shoulder that he will have further evaluated this upcoming week."
He also posted to X:
Just wanted to give everyone an update and appreciate everyone checking in on me ❤️ my shoulder is very weak so I will be getting it checked this upcoming week and a mild concussion. Not the way I was expecting to end this year but I trust gods plan always 🫶🏻
